Precautions for gastroscopy
Is anesthesia required for gastroscopy?
In order to reduce the discomfort caused by patients during gastroscopy, our center provides 2 anesthesia methods for customers to choose.
1. Monitoring anesthesia: Anesthesia is injected intravenously by an anesthesiologist so that the patient can undergo examination or surgery in a relaxed and drowsy state. Since the degree of drowsiness is deeper than that of general sedatives, the anesthesiologist will monitor the patient’s condition during the procedure.
2. Intravenous sedatives: Intravenous sedatives are used to calm and relax the patient for examination. The patient’s drowsiness is lighter than that of monitoring anesthesia.
If you have any enquiries, please contact the center.
